Damovo is seeking a talented IT Security System Engineer (m/f/d) to join our innovative Group IT team.

As a leading provider of ICT solutions and services, Damovo places a strong emphasis on cybersecurity to protect our internal critical assets. This role focuses on internal IT security administering the Damovo IT internal Security Suite covering MS Security Centre as well as other endpoint protection solutions. It includes managing patch deployments, conducting security analyses across diverse environments, collaborating with the IT Security Office, and responding to security incidents promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the Damovo Security Suite to ensure the effective management of security policies, alerts, and configurations
  • Monitor, develop and administer patch management processes to ensure the timely deployment of security updates across all systems and devices
  • Collaborate closely with the Security Office and external SOC to align security strategies, address emerging threats, and enhance security awareness
  • Conduct comprehensive security analyses on used Security Endpoints,  in Microsoft 365, on-premises infrastructure, and cloud platforms to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Provide technical support and response during security incidents, including incident identification, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts
  • Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation activities to mitigate security vulnerabilities effectively
  • Responsible for maintaining and creating ongoing security related documentation

Experience and Skills we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field experience
    Minimum of 2 years of experience in system engineering and cybersecurity roles
  • Proficiency in administering Microsoft Security Centre or similar and other relevant security tools and technologies
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructures as well as knowledge of IT security management according to the latest ISO guidelines and NIS 2 guidelines
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability and patch management principles and practices
  • Experience conducting security analyses across diverse environments, including Microsoft 365, on-premises, and cloud platforms
  • Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven track record of responding to security incidents and implementing effective remediation measures
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management frameworks and methodologies
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) are advantageous
