We are looking for a Finance Director (m/f/d) based in or around Düsseldorf, able to work closely with local stakeholders while collaborating effectively with Group Finance. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strong technical accounting expertise with commercial and operational engagement, and acting as the primary finance authority in Germany for internal and external stakeholders.

The Finance Director Germany (m/f/d) is responsible for the statutory, commercial, and operational finance leadership of Damovo’s German entities. Reporting to Group Finance, the role ensures robust statutory compliance, audit-ready financials, strong commercial governance, and effective financial partnership with Sales, Delivery, and Operations.

 

How you will make an impact:

Financial & Statutory Leadership
Own statutory reporting, compliance, and financial governance for German entities
Ensure accurate, timely close and audit-ready financials
Act as the senior finance contact for auditors, tax advisors, and authorities

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
Provide finance leadership across Sales, Delivery, and Operations
Own commercial governance across deal approval and Order-to-Cash
Support pricing, margin management, and contract structuring

Project & Asset Finance
Oversee financial control of projects, capex, and fixed assets
Ensure visibility and control of margins, forecasts, and financial risks

Treasury & Cash Management
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and local banking relationships
Coordinate funding and treasury activities with Group Finance

Team Leadership & Transformation
Lead and develop local finance and controlling teams
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardisation of finance processes

Experience and skills we value

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or German equivalent) or senior audit background
  • Senior finance leadership experience in asset-heavy or project-based environments
  • Strong knowledge of German statutory accounting (HGB)
  • Proven experience leading statutory audits and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in German and English

Desirable

  • IFRS experience
  • ERP and finance automation exposure (e.g. SAP, Lucanet, Salesforce)
  • Experience in ICT, infrastructure, telecoms, or similar environments
